First and Second Digit: Battalion #

Alpha designations: A-G=BLS, H=BLS HazTac, I-O=BLS, S-Y=ALS, Z=ALS HazTac

Fourth Digit: Tour 1, 2 or 3

C for Conditions Supervisor

All Cxxy Units indicate a Supervisor from the xx Battalion on y tour.  This Supervisor, when available, may be utilized for administrative responses including, but not limited to: MVA's, Mechanical assistance, MCI's, ER Visits etc.

Battalion Commanders (Captain) are: Battalion "XX"

Cushman Units are 6 + Div. # + M through Q  (ie: 61M, 61O, etc)

Chiefs are: 51 (Manh), 52 (Bx & Manh N), 53 (Bklyn), 54 (Queens), 55 (Richmond & Bklyn S)

5M1 and 5M2 are the Office of Medical Affairs - MD (Duty Medical Officers)
