The assignment desk to chopper freq is 455.3125/107.2 The chopper can be heard well, but the base radio is on a 10 story building on w57st and has about a 10 mile range from the ground. Management traded the 50k/yr rent for a xmit site on 1Penn Plz for a Nextel account and phones for every field person. Nextels are not a good idear for our biz, cause when the poop hits the fan, only "authorized [emergency services] users" will have access to the system. Only a radio system that you can control will provide vital communications in times of greatest need. Nick
