I want to get a radio to listen to FD, PD, and stuff. I'm thinking about the Yaesu FT-60, and the VX-5. Any ideas?

If you're a ham operator, then a transceiver with extended coverage makes sense. Otherwise, a scanner is a better deal.

I use a VX-7R when mobile.
